Hi, I'm Tamara Rose and I'm director of professional development and growth with Springs Charter Schools. One of the things I didn't expect when I became a coach through the impact program at Springs was how much I would personally grow from it. I really went into this thinking that I was going to help somebody else and I really realized that it was also about helping me. Our teachers self-identify strengths and areas of opportunity. And what that does is it gives us the explicit goals for our teachers. Seeing somebody set a goal, work towards that goal, and then achieve it is incredibly rewarding. They're troubleshooting and pushing past barriers. It's impacted how I communicate, how I approach challenges, and how I support others, not just at work, but in my personal life too. At the end of the day, coaching is about the people. It's about growth, connection, and making a meaningful impact.
